Omega Pharma-QuickStep’s Tony Martin will be out of action for some time after his team confirmed that he suffered injuries in a training collision with a car near his home in Switzerland yesterday. Martin lost consciousness and has fractured his cheekbone, which may require surgery. It is not known at this stage exactly how long he will need to recover before competing again.
